For the first time, Ruark has opted for an efficient injection molding process for production. The subtly shaped cabinet offers a modern, contemporary design and a perfect finish for the new Light Creme and Espresso lacquer variants. Equipped with a special acoustic coating on the inside, the rigid and acoustically inert polymer cabinet provides the ideal set-up for the electronics and the newly developed NS+ speaker unit. Together with the handcrafted wooden front grille, a timeless radio inspired by design classics has been created that is still clearly recognizable as a Ruark.

The sound and features set new standards with this 4th generation of the R1, producing a full and extremely balanced sound at all volume levels. The high-contrast OLED display clearly shows time, alarm and program information. Reception is excellent for both digital and analog radio operation.

The high-quality Bluetooth receiver enables quick and easy connection to smartphones or other players, making it easy to use your favorite streaming services. Also included is a USB playback and charging port that supports many formats such as FLAC and WAV. Additional playback devices can also be connected via the line-in input. The RotoDial controller on the top of the R1 makes operation intuitive. A compact remote control is available as an option, as well as a battery pack that allows the R1 to be used on the move.
