Stachak First Class Guitar

First Class Guitar by Tatiana Stachak is a modern and thoughtfully designed method for children aged approximately 7 to 9 who are taking their first steps on the classical guitar. Large notation, colourful illustrations and clear visual guides make the material easy to follow and help young guitarists find their way around the book.

The course is divided into four progressive sections. Pupils begin by playing open strings before introducing the left hand through their first fingerings, exercises and short melodies. The third section presents simple two-part pieces, while the final section revises and consolidates the material through a varied selection of compositions.

One of the method’s particular strengths is the early introduction of duet playing between pupil and teacher. These accessible pieces develop rhythmic confidence, careful listening and the enjoyment of making music together from the very beginning. Short improvisation activities also encourage creativity and allow children to explore the guitar in a playful way. The exercises gradually become more challenging, combining essential technical skills with musical expression.

The book is suitable for one or two guitars and includes text in German, English and Polish. An engaging method for individual or partner lessons that offers young beginners a clear, varied and musical introduction to the classical guitar.
