The S-1 combines retro charm and state-of-the-art functions in a compact housing that you can easily take anywhere. The constantly evolving Analog Circuit Behavior (ACB) technology delivers the true SH-101 sound including authentic response. The legendary mono synthesizer from the 80s is famous for its characterful sound and simple, intuitive control panel. By extending the original design with four-voice polyphony and a host of innovative features for modern music production, musicians at any level can explore the possibilities of sound generation on a user-friendly and uncomplicated control surface.

The S-1 is a sound design and performance powerhouse in miniature format that impresses with its direct control. The oscillator, envelope, filter and LFO sections provide the basis for powerful sounds. You can access additional tools for sound generation via keyboard shortcuts. Independent controls are available for adjusting effects. You can also use the 26 multifunction pads to play a keyboard with more than two octaves, control the step sequencer and use a variety of other creative options to create new ideas.

Square, saw, sub and noise oscillators as well as mono, poly, unison and chord modes are available for sound generation. You can also use the powerful OSC Draw function to draw in your own waveforms via the step pads. OSC Chop offers additional harmonic potential. Divide waveforms into sections and discover interesting metallic timbres. You can then use the noise oscillator as an independent riser to add sweeps and pulsating sound effects.

With the impressive D-Motion function, you can change your sounds by physically moving the synthesizer. Use the arpeggiator to create cascading musical progressions. The step loop function enables live fills and spontaneous rhythmic improvisations. You can also transpose patterns to quickly and easily add harmonies to your jams.
